SECOND SHIFT WELDER

 

LOCATION: SMITH CENTER, KANSAS Plant

Applequist Manufacturing, Inc. (AMI) is seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Welder at our Smith Center, Kansas facility. AMI builds productivity-driven equipment, including the highly regarded Falcon stripper header. Second shift runs Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m., with shift differential pay offered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding using fixtures on various parts

  • Read and interpret blueprints while maintaining tight tolerances

  • Maintain accurate inventory and organized work orders

  • Follow all safety procedures during daily tasks

  • Operate grinders, sanders, and related equipment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience

  • Reliable, punctual, and ready to perform assigned tasks

  • Accountable and responsible for quality and productivity

  • Able to consistently weld and finish parts to a high standard

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Physically capable of performing the essential job functions
